About the book

What makes your child light up?

A new hobby. A question they keep asking. A game they return to every day. Jyotish for Parents helps you explore those interests through the symbolic language of Indian astrology, then turn your notes into activities to try together.

No astrology background is needed. The free JyotiSoft calculator handles the calculations; the book shows you what to look for and how to read it.

Five steps through a birth chart:

  • Lagna and the 1st house: temperament and self-expression.
  • The Moon's nakshatra: feelings, habits and what feels familiar.
  • The 5th house: creativity, learning and hobbies.
  • The 10th house: ways of taking action and joining in.
  • Rahu and Ketu: familiar ground and new interests to explore.

The guiding rule is simple: look for themes that repeat, offer an activity, and watch your child's response. Their own interests and choices come first.
