In London 7 of 25 dates fall on a different day than in Delhi: Pausha Putrada: 18 January (Delhi 19 January); Vijaya: 3 March (Delhi 4 March); Nirjala: 14 June (Delhi 15 June); Kamika: 29 July (Delhi 30 July); Parivartini: 11 September (Delhi 12 September); Rama: 25 October (Delhi 26 October); Devutthana: 9 November (Delhi 10 November).
How to read the table
The fast day is the day on which the fast is kept. Parana is the window on the next morning in which the fast is broken: after sunrise, once the first quarter of Dvadashi (Hari Vasara) has passed and before Dvadashi ends. If only “after …” is given, the window opens after that time. The name of the Ekadashi, the half of the month and a note on any special case are in the middle column.
Special cases in the table
Mahadvadashi is when the Vaishnava rules move the fast to the day of Dvadashi. Dashami-viddha means Ekadashi is mixed with the tenth tithi before dawn, so the fast moves to the next day. Kshaya means the Ekadashi tithi begins and ends between two sunrises. On such days the Smarta calendar sometimes names another date.
