Which studies suit my child? The JyotiSoft chart answer

This is the Navigator question “Where to send my child to study”. The answer comes in the @JyotiSoftBot bot and is built from the child's own chart: how the child learns, whether humanities or technical subjects are the easier road, whether languages are a strength, and one concrete step for the parent this term. Below is what the answer contains and what it never does.

What the answer contains

  1. The learning type. The child's Mercury — sign, nakshatra, dignity, house — and the 4th house and its lord, for the environment where the child can actually settle: strict structure, a creative one or a flexible one. Also whether the child takes material in by listening, by reading or by doing it with the hands.
  2. Subjects: humanities or technical. Mercury (language, notation, counting, code) read against Jupiter (meaning, argument, philosophy, law), and the 5th house and its lord for what is grasped without effort. Then the strong planets: Venus for art, design and music, Mars for engineering, chemistry and sport, Saturn for long methodical subjects, the Moon for the caring and literary side, Ketu for abstraction and pattern. Two subject directions the chart supports, and which of humanities and STEM is the easier road — as a leaning, never as a limit.
  3. Languages. Answered as its own question: the 2nd house and its lord for speech and vocabulary, Mercury for grammar, the 3rd for writing, the 9th and 12th for the foreign and the far, Venus for the ear. Whether languages are a strength and of what kind — spoken fluency, written mastery or the classical and ancient languages; if they are not, what carries the load instead, and that a language can still be learned, only more slowly.
  4. Advice for the parent. A check in the Chaturvimshamsha (D-24), the classical varga of learning, when it is supplied: whether D-1 and D-24 agree, and if they do not, that the child may need a second run at a subject rather than a different subject. Then one concrete step for this term: what to look for in a school or a club, and what pressure not to apply.

What it is calculated from

The same calculation as a chart in the bot and the Mini App — sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanamsha, whole-sign houses — made for the child: add the child to 👥 People with the date, time and place of birth, then choose this question. It uses the child's Mercury and Jupiter, the 4th, 5th, 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 12th houses with their lords, the strong planets named above and, when it is supplied, the D-24 (divisional charts).

What the answer never does

The answer never names a school, a curriculum, an examining body, a country or a fee. It never states or implies an IQ, a learning disability, ADHD, dyslexia or any other diagnosis, and never calls a child weak, slow or gifted: it describes where effort repays. It never predicts exam results or a career and never says that the child will or will not succeed at something.

If you do not know the birth time

Say so: the answer then states in one sentence that what rests on the houses and the rising sign softens, while the signs of the planets and the dates of the periods hold. You can see first how much depends on the time in the free chart calculator (tick “Time unknown”), and read a chart without a birth time.
