What field to retrain into: the JyotiSoft chart answer

This is the Navigator question “What field to retrain into”. The answer comes in the @JyotiSoftBot bot and is built from your own chart. It is the study question, not the job hunt: why the current field stopped fitting, which two fields are worth learning and which one to leave alone, what shape an adult retraining should take, and the window to begin. Below is what the answer contains and what it never does.

What the answer contains

  1. Why the current field stopped fitting. The 10th house and its lord against the 6th house and its lord: the 10th is the standing and shape of the work, the 6th the daily routine you actually live. The answer names the specific mismatch: the work uses a planet that is weak here, or sits in a house the chart never activated, or the period that carried this profession has ended. It then looks at D-10 for what the vocation was built to be, without moralising about the old field.
  2. The direction to retrain into. From the strongest well-placed planet and the lords of the 5th (what is grasped naturally) and the 9th (what can be studied formally as an adult): two fields worth retraining into and one to leave alone, each with its chart reason. Fields, not employers.
  3. The shape of the retraining. What shape the chart supports and why: a long formal programme or a short intensive certification; alongside the current work or a clean break; learning by apprenticeship or by book. It is checked against D-24, the chart of learning: if that is weaker than the main chart, you hear before starting that the road may take a second attempt or longer.
  4. When to start and how long the window is. The periods of the lords of the 5th, 9th and 10th and of Mercury and Jupiter, Jupiter's transit over those houses in the next twelve to twenty-four months and Saturn's position for how much endurance the period has to spare. A dated window to begin studying and a realistic horizon to the first paid work in the new field, both as periods; if no supportive window is in view, what to build meanwhile. One step for the next month.

What it is calculated from

The same calculation as your chart in the bot and the Mini App: sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanamsha, whole-sign houses. It uses the 10th and 6th houses with their lords, the strongest well-placed planet, the lords of the 5th and 9th, the divisional charts (D-10 and D-24) when supplied, and the running periods (the Vimshottari dasha) with the transits of Jupiter and Saturn.

What the answer never does

The answer describes what the chart supports and leaves the decision with you: it never advises resigning, taking a loan or spending savings. It names fields, never a university, bootcamp, platform, employer or certification body, and quotes no fee or salary. It never promises that the retraining will succeed or what income follows: direction is not execution. If you are really asking whether to leave your job, it says so in one line and still answers the learning half.

If you do not know the birth time

Say so: the 10th and the 9th house depend on the rising sign, so the direction holds while the timing softens. You can see first how much depends on the time in the free chart calculator (tick “Time unknown”), and read a chart without a birth time.

Questions

Is this the same as “Change jobs or stay”?
No. That question answers whether to move; this one answers what to go and learn. If you are really asking about leaving, the answer says so in one line and still answers the learning half.
Will it name a course or a school?
No. It names fields to retrain into — two worth learning and one to leave alone, each with its chart reason — never a university, bootcamp, platform or employer.
Will it tell me to quit my job?
Never. It describes which shape the chart supports (alongside the current work or a clean break) and leaves the decision with you; it never advises resigning, borrowing or spending savings.
Does it say how long it will take?
It gives a window to begin and a realistic horizon to the first paid work in the new field, both as periods, and says plainly if no supportive window is in view.
Is the answer free?
Your chart and the calculators on this site are free. The answer to this question is a paid topic in the bot; its price in stars is shown there.
