Which subjects and languages suit me: the JyotiSoft chart answer

This is the Navigator question “Which subjects and languages suit me”. The answer comes in the @JyotiSoftBot bot and is built from your own chart: where study repays the effort and where it drains it. It names two fields the chart supports and one it does not, treats languages as a separate question, checks the result in the chart of learning and ends with the one subject or language to start now. Below is what the answer contains and what it never does.

What the answer contains

  1. The two carriers of learning. Mercury carries language, notation, counting and code; Jupiter carries meaning, law, philosophy and teaching. By sign, nakshatra, dignity, house and any supplied strength figures the answer says which one your chart is built on, and the consequence in one line: a Mercury chart moves fast through symbol systems and can grind on the “why”; a Jupiter chart holds a whole field in view and can be impatient with drill.
  2. The subject signature. Only the planets that are strong, well placed or tied to the 4th, 5th or 9th house in your chart, not all nine, each with the fields it classically carries. Two fields your chart supports and one it does not, each with its chart reason, without hedging into “you can do anything”.
  3. Languages specifically. A separate question, read from the 2nd house and its lord (speech, vocabulary), Mercury (grammar), the 3rd house (writing, practical use), the 9th house and 12th house (the far country, the foreign teacher) and Venus (ear and pleasure). Whether languages are a strength and which kind: spoken fluency, written and grammatical mastery, or classical and ancient languages. If they are not a strength, what carries the load instead.
  4. Confirmation and timing. The check in D-24, the classical chart of learning, when it is supplied: where it disagrees with the main chart, it decides whether the subject sticks past the first year. Then the periods of the 4th, 5th and 9th lords and of Mercury and Jupiter, Jupiter's transit over those houses in the next twelve to twenty-four months, and the one subject or language to start now and in what format.

What it is calculated from

The same calculation as your chart in the bot and the Mini App: sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanamsha, whole-sign houses. It uses Mercury and Jupiter, the other planets only where they are strong or tied to the 4th, 5th or 9th house, the 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 12th houses for languages, Venus, the divisional charts (D-24) and the running dasha (the Vimshottari dasha) with Jupiter's transit.

What the answer never does

The answer names subjects and families of languages, never a job title: the profession question is a different reading. It never states or implies an IQ or a diagnosis and never says that someone is “not smart enough” for a field: a chart shows where effort repays, not a ceiling. It never names a school, course or textbook, never quotes a fee, and never promises a grade, a degree or fluency by a date.

If you do not know the birth time

Say so: the part built on the houses softens, while the part built on the planets holds. You can see first how much depends on the time in the free chart calculator (tick “Time unknown”), and read a chart without a birth time.

Questions

Will it name subjects I should avoid?
It names two fields the chart supports and one it does not, each with its chart reason. It also says a chart shows where effort repays, not a ceiling.
Are languages treated separately?
Yes, as their own part: it says whether languages are a strength and which kind — spoken fluency, written and grammatical mastery, or classical languages — and what carries the load if they are not.
What is D-24 for?
It is the classical chart of learning. The answer checks the subject in it, and where D-24 and the main chart disagree, it is the tiebreaker on whether the subject sticks.
Will it say which profession to choose?
No. It names subjects and language families, not job titles; the profession is a different reading.
Is the answer free?
Your chart and the calculators on this site are free. The answer to this question is a paid topic in the bot; its price in stars is shown there.
