Pisces (Mina) in Vedic astrology

The nature of Pisces

Pisces is water that flows and adapts: empathy, intuition, imagination, the dissolving of boundaries. Jupiter makes it devotional, generous and wise. Venus is exalted here (deepest at 27°) — love becomes devotion and art inspiration; Mercury is debilitated (deepest at 15°) — the analytic mind gives way to intuition. As the last sign, Pisces closes the wheel; its end is the gandanta before Aries.

Pisces ascendant and Pisces Moon

A Pisces ascendant gives a gentle, intuitive, sympathetic person, often artistic or spiritual. Jupiter rules the 1st and 10th; the Moon (5th lord) and Mars (2nd and 9th) are friends. A Pisces Moon is sensitive and imaginative, needs quiet and boundaries, and is easily moved by others' pain.

Pisces in a chart

The house that holds Pisces is where you let go, dream and serve. Saturn is transiting Pisces until 2 June 2027 (and again from 20 October 2027 to 23 February 2028), bringing structure to that area of every chart.

The twelfth sign of the natural zodiac echoes the 12th house: expenses, foreign lands, liberation.

Nakshatras in Pisces

Pisces holds the last pada of Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada (depth and patience) and Revati (safe passage), the last nakshatra of the zodiac.
