Year ahead (solar return): the JyotiSoft chart answer

What the answer contains

1. The theme of the year. The house of the Muntha and the year lord, both taken from the annual chart, read together with the running period: what this year is essentially about.
2. Opportunities. Jupiter's transit and the strong points of the chart: where the door opens.
3. Lessons. Saturn's transit and the difficult points: what is being structured this year. Without catastrophising.
4. Strong and weak months. The year's nine Mudda periods, each with its lord and dates: the two or three strongest and weakest stretches, what each favours and what it asks to handle with care. A weaker stretch asks for care; it does not predict harm.
5. Windows and dates. Three or four windows across the year, each with what is happening in it; every window is a stretch between two dates carried by the calculation (a period, a transit's entry and exit).
6. One step for the year. One practical step that serves the year as a whole, not a list of tasks.

What it is calculated from

The same calculation as your chart in the bot and the Mini App: sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanamsha, whole-sign houses. It uses the annual chart (the year's rising sign, the Muntha and the year lord), the running mahadasha and antardasha with the periods that follow (the Vimshottari dasha), and the calendar of slow transits with their dates of entry and exit. The answer names only the yogas, aspects and strengths that the calculation itself carries.

Windows, not a date

The year runs from this birthday to the next, as the annual chart sees it; it is not a calendar year. A window is a stretch between two dates, never a single day and never a date the calculation does not carry. The answer shows themes and windows, not events. If you mean the next twelve months counted from today, that is a different question: 12 months from today.

If you do not know the birth time

Say so: the answer then states in one sentence that what rests on the houses and the rising sign softens, while the signs of the planets and the dates of the periods hold.
