Which pet suits me: the JyotiSoft chart answer

This is the Navigator question “Which pet suits me”. The answer comes in the @JyotiSoftBot bot and is built from your own chart: whether the chart is easy or effortful with animals, what kind of relationship with an animal it asks for, two or three kinds of animal it supports and one to avoid, and the honest practical side of living with one. Below is what the answer contains and what it never does.

What the answer contains

  1. The animal houses. Classical Jyotish reads them together: the 6th house and its lord (small domestic animals kept and fed daily, the primary house of the question), the 4th house (the home itself and whether it has room and calm for another living thing), the 12th house (large animals and the one that costs and consumes) and the 2nd house (the household as a fed unit). The condition of the 6th lord is read first: an afflicted 6th does not forbid a pet, it says the pet will be work.
  2. The karakas and what they want. The Moon for attachment, feeding and the need to be needed; Venus for comfort and beauty; Mars for energy and training; Saturn for endurance, routine and the old animal; Ketu, the classical significator of the dog; Mercury for small quick creatures and birds; Jupiter for size and the companion rather than the charge. The answer names the two that dominate and what kind of relationship your chart asks for: a working partner, a lap companion, a creature to observe or a herd to tend.
  3. The animal itself. Two or three kinds of animal the chart supports and one to avoid, each with its chart reason. The yoni of the Moon's nakshatra is a fixed classical correspondence; it describes the temperament you are most at ease beside, not a species to acquire, and the answer says so and translates it. Crossed with the first two parts, it gives a concrete recommendation. If the chart does not support keeping an animal right now, the answer says so plainly and says what would change it.
  4. How this will actually go. What you will find easy and what hard about the animal you are given: Saturn says the routine holds, an afflicted 6th says the vet bills and illnesses arrive, a strong Moon says the attachment will be deep, Rahu in the 6th says the impulse runs ahead of the plan to care. One concrete preparation to make before bringing an animal home; if you are asking about when, the answer points to the timing reading.

What it is calculated from

The same calculation as your chart in the bot and the Mini App: sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanamsha, whole-sign houses. It uses the 6th, 4th, 12th and 2nd houses with the condition of the 6th lord, the Moon, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Ketu, Mercury and Jupiter as the karakas, and the Moon's nakshatra for its yoni (you can find yours in the nakshatra calculator).

What the answer never does

The answer never gives veterinary advice, never names a disease an animal will have and never predicts an animal's death or lifespan: a health worry is a question for a vet. It never names a breeder, shelter, food brand or practice and quotes no price. It never tells you to give up or rehome an animal you already have, never presents the yoni as a species prescription and never says that you are forbidden an animal.

If you do not know the birth time

Say so: the half built on the houses softens, while the half built on the Moon's nakshatra and the karakas holds. You can see first how much depends on the time in the free chart calculator (tick “Time unknown”), and read a chart without a birth time.

Questions

Does it name a particular breed or shelter?
No. It names kinds of animal (a dog, a cat, a bird, fish, a small mammal and so on), never a breeder, a shelter, a food brand or a price.
What is the yoni of the Moon's nakshatra?
A fixed classical correspondence that describes the temperament you are most at ease beside. It is not a prescription to acquire that species, and the answer says so.
What if my 6th house is afflicted?
Then the answer says the pet will be work, not that you may not have one. It never says that you are forbidden an animal.
Does it say how long the animal will live or whether it will be healthy?
Never. It gives no veterinary advice, names no disease and predicts neither lifespan nor death; a health worry is a question for a vet.
Is the answer free?
Your chart and the calculators on this site are free. The answer to this question is a paid topic in the bot; its price in stars is shown there.
