The planets for this ascendant

Roles follow Parashara's house-lordship rule (BPHS ch. 34) as the JyotiSoft engine applies it: lords of the trines (1, 5, 9) help, lords of the 6th, 8th and 12th strain, and a planet that rules both an angle (4, 7, 10) and a trine is the yogakaraka. Some schools also count the 3rd and 11th lords as difficult and the 2nd and 7th lords as marakas. What a planet actually does depends on its strength and placement too.

Taurus is the fixed earth sign, and the texts describe its rising as steady, patient and fond of comfort, beauty and good food. People with this lagna often have a calming presence and a strong sense of what is theirs. They rarely rush, and they rarely give up. The flip side is inertia: once a habit or opinion is formed, moving it takes time.

Look at Saturn first: its sign, house and dasha timing. Then at Venus as lagna lord. The lagna's nakshatra (Krittika, Rohini or Mrigashira) colours the temperament. A Saturn mahadasha is often a turning point for this ascendant, usually towards responsibility that brings results.
